On 19th February, 1915, the 3rd King’s Royal Rifle Corps battalion of 80 Brigade, 27th Division, left their billets in Dickebusch near Ypres and moved to nearby trenches where they remained until relieved on 21st February. Harry Elkins died from wounds on 20th February and it is likely that he was wounded during these two days spent in the front line. |
